Frequently asked questions

What can a QR code made with SeventyQR contain?

Anything that is text: a web address, free text, a phone number, an email, a WiFi configuration (WIFI: format), a business card... Type or paste the content and the preview updates with every keystroke.

What size should I choose to print a QR code?

SeventyQR exports a crisp PNG at 512, 1024 or 2048 px, with zero interpolation blur. For a business card, 512 px is enough; use 1024 px for a flyer and 2048 px for a poster. Always keep a white quiet zone around the QR.

Can I invert the QR code colors?

Yes. In the settings you can switch to a light QR on a dark background. The error correction level (L, M, Q or H) is adjustable too: the higher it is, the more readable the QR stays when damaged or partially covered.

Do QR codes expire?

No. A QR code is just a drawing that encodes your content: it works forever and depends on no service. SeventyQR encodes everything locally on your Mac, with no redirect, no tracking, no account and no subscription.

What is the difference between the website version and the App Store one?

It is the same app. On this website: a free 7-day trial, then a 9.90 CHF one-time license with automatic updates. On the App Store: direct purchase, updates through Apple. Pick whichever suits you.
